At the Northern Beaches Council Meeting 27 September 2016 the acting General Manager Mr. Mark Ferguson stated publicly:- "The Council had been highly commended at the local government awards for its community consultation on the project". Whilst the public workshops and information evenings could be categorised by some as "Highly Commendable" it is what the Council did with the information gained from this that is most concerning. A GIPA application was lodged with the Council to get a copy of all the comments recorded by Council during those workshops where Staff wrote comments down and others were recorded on post it notes. A copy of that GIPA and the comments from the community is available with the following document. Download the GIPA response now:-
It has been said that the subsequent Draft Mona Vale Place Plan is not consistent with the comments and what the community wanted. Nowhere can it be found that anyone wanted 6 storey buildings. |
