Over a period of 16 weeks every Saturday morning 9am to 12 noon, one man, a local resident and concerned citizen set up his own protest along the Village Park frontage to Barrenjoey Road in an attempt to bring to the attention of the wider passing Pittwater community what Transport for NSW with its B-Line Bus Program was going to do to the beloved community Village Park in Mona Vale. Only 2 protest days were cancelled because of rain. From the Saturday morning 3 hour protest days a petition was signed by 180 people who walked past or stopped their cars. On 7 February 2017 this petition was handed into the Local Member for Pittwater Dr. Robert Gordon Stokes office. Currently the date is now 27 April 2017 and would you believe Dr Robert Gordon Stokes and his Electorate Office have not even acknowledged the petition which was requested he take to Parliament. See link for lodging of the petition http://savemonavale.weebly.com/b-line-petition-haned-to-rob-stokes-mp-pittwater It only takes one person to start a protest which can grow to much larger protests as has happened in the case of opposition to the B-Line bus stop in Village Park Mona Vale and the destruction and removal of over 21 mature 40 year old trees and the grass mounds.
