Incident 1 - Breakdown. It has been reported that on a wet 13 March 2018 at approximately 6.35am a B-Line bus had broken down with it's hazard lights flashing in Mona Vale.
What makes this even more interesting is the location it broke down. It was in the left hand lane of the 2 turning lanes on Pittwater Road that turn right to head off up Mona Vale Road. Was this to be a 'Rest Run' for times for a possible new route to go from Mona Vale to Gordon etc. In any event it was certainly broken down with hazard lights flashing and didn't move at all with all the other traffic through the intersection, it just sat there.

Incident 2 - Breakdown. It has been reported that in the peak hour run to the City on Tuesday 24 April 2018 at approximately 6.55am the B-Line Bus pulled into the B-Line bus stop at Collaroy, passengers boarded, bus started to pull out and a very loud noisy 'Shudder" came from the engine or somewhere and the bus stalled. The driver couldn't restart the engine, he was notably quite angry. The bus just sat there, couldn't be moved, blocking the bus stop and the bus only lane to other buses. Passengers had to disembark and all crowd on the footpath and wait for another bus.

Incident 3 - Breakdown. It has been reported that in the peak hour run from the City on Tuesday 15 May 2018 at approximately 7.15pm in the Bus Only Lane, Pittwater Road heading towards Mona Vale, opposite the Griffith Park children’s playground near the Long Reef golf course just before the traffic lights at Anzac Avenue was you guessed it, another broken down B-Line bus.
The B-Line bus was stationary, parked against the kerb in the Bus Only lane blocking other buses heading north, all dark inside the bus, no lights on with just the hazard lights flashing.
Another B-Line bus approached started to go around the broken down one, the driver was looking across to the broken down bus as he drove past very slowly and he looked really confused as if he didn’t know what was going on.
Why didn’t a message go out over the 2 way to inform all bus drivers of a broken down bus and to take caution at that location.

Incident 4 - Breakdown. It has been reported that on 31 July 2018 at 8.03am a B-Line bus had broken down in Mona Vale. The evidence photo included below shows the B-Line Bus parked with hazard lights flashing near the Tex Mex Restaurant. It obviously broke down after leaving the Mona Vale Bus Depot for the next peak hour run to the city. As can be seen it didn’t even make it to the first B-Line bus stop.

Incident 5 - Opal Card Scanners Not Working. It has been reported that in the peak hour run on Thursday 9 August 2018 departing from Wynyard at approximately 5pm none of the Opal Card scanners were working. The bus was full to capacity. The scanners were still not working when arriving at the last stop in Mona Vale. Just think of the revenue lost with all those people getting a free journey. The question is were the scanners broken on previous journeys that day and at the turn around point of Mona Vale Bus Depot did this bus simply start the next journey with the scanners still not working? We’ll never know.

Incident 6 – Doors Won’t Close. It has been reported that in the peak hour run on Tuesday 16 July 2019 the B-Line bus was ready to depart from Wynyard at approximately 5pm and the doors at the front of the bus would not close. The bus was full to capacity. The bus could not depart. The only option was for all of the passengers to disembark from the bus and join the already very log queue waiting for the next B-Line bus to arrive. Of course the mix of passengers that just got off the first bus with the passengers waiting to board the next bus was somewhat confrontational as to who would get on the next bus first. “B-Line Buses Made in Malaysia”.

Incident 7 - Opal Card Scanners Not Working. It has been reported once again that 2 August 2019 departing from Mona Vale at approximately 11am none of the Opal Card scanners were working on the B-Line bus. The scanners were observed to still be not working when arriving at Wynyard. Just think of the revenue lost with all those people getting a free journey. The question is were the scanners broken on previous journeys that day and at the turn around point of Mona Vale Bus Depot did this bus simply start the next journey with the scanners still not working? Incident 8 – Breakdown. It has been reported that on the Saturday run of 30 November 2019 the B-Line run from Mona Vale into the City at approximately 12.20pm pulled into the B-Line bus stop at the Collaroy Beach behind another B-Line bus already parked there. What was an almost full capacity bus that was already at the stop had broken down and the passengers had to all disembark and then board the second B-Line that had just pulled in. This made for a late arrival at Wynyard and not all the passengers from the broken down bus could fit on the second bus. Their journey was delayed substantially until a third B-Line arrived sometime after the second one pulled out where because of this delay it also had a late arrival at Wynyard. “B-Line Buses Made in Malaysia”.
