Well that spells it out better - The B-Line is to be a trunk service to the city.
This has come from the Manly Daily 9 May 2017 article about a private forum on rapid bus services which is being organised by Forest Coach Lines Wednesday evening 17 May 2017 at the Narrabeen Sands Hotel. The B-Line would be the trunk and other bus services would arrive at the trunk as feeder services to Mona Vale and then after Wynyard feeder services being bus or train would take commuters to further destinations. The implication here is that there would be no other city services along the trunk route so that the trunk services would not be interrupted. To date Transport for NSW have been silent on exactly how the B-Line would integrate with existing services but here is the answer and it comes, perhaps from the horse's mouth. It would appear current city bus routes from Palm Beach, Avalon, Bilgola, Newport, Mona Vale, McCarrs Creek/Church Point, Elanora, Warriewood, Narrabeen, Collaroy Plateau/Cromer, Dee Why West, Cromer, Freshwater and Manly and maybe Seaforth and Balgowlah would cease and become feeder routes to the B-Line at one of its six Northern Beaches transfer points. Read the article from the Manly Daily and the message reported as being from David Royle from Forest Coaches. Mr Royle is speaking from a background of being the behind the scenes ad hoc spokesperson for Transport for NSW and is conveying the big news much like a what happens when there is a so called Cabinet leak. Is Mr. Royle lining up to deflect the anger that is likely if such changes eventuate. There are a lot of political tactics going on here, that’s one thing for sure.
