Manly Daily Letter to the Editor 17 February 2017 Development Will Happen, Regardless FOUR ageing activists have nothing better to do than to use paper made from trees that have been cut down to make “Chop Chop” signs while the rest of us working citizens sit in long queues of traffic due to poor public transport (MD, Feb 15). I am sure the State Government and the council will ensure the amenity of Mona Vale will be retained and at the same time we will have progress. Development will happen in Mona Vale, regardless, so why not add some constructive support to a much-needed transport system integrated with an equally important Mona Vale Place Plan? Perhaps the anti-change lobby would rather see the whole suburb turned into an ad hoc development site with no public transport system. Well done, chaps. Wake up. John Beale, Mona Vale
It is disappointing to hear the Mona Vale Chamber of Commerce does not like older citizens who actually fight for a legitimate cause. It's a shame that the Chamber does not represent local shopkeepers better.
